Samsung Galaxy S3 Drop Test vs iPhone 4S

Two of the most sought after smart phones in the world just got dropped! No it was not an accident, it was a test to see how the devices would perform by being dropped on their sides, their back and their front.

The iPhone 4s which has always been known as a flaky phone that couldn’t survive a drop if it’s life depended on it went up first and failed miserably. It was shattered into little pieces of glass.

Next up the Samsung Galaxy S3. What happens? I don’t want to spoil it so I will let you watch the video and find out for yourself.

Watched the video? My Thoughts:

I was shocked to say the least, based on the Samsung Galaxy S2 drop test last fall I expected the Samsung Galaxy S3 to keep its reputation and survive the drop test. With the new Gorilla Glass 2 in the Samsung Galaxy S3 I figured it would be able to handle a drop test but it didn’t. We’d need to see a few more drop tests to get a more accurate idea on the durability of the SGS3.
