There are analysts who believe that the latest Apple Samsung patent verdict may get Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S2 banned in USA

Apple has gained a decisive legal victory over Samsung in the U.S.A. The Cupertino-based tech maker, as per analysts, can now move to the court demanding shipment ban over some Samsung products in the country. To be true Samsung would be more afraid of this move beyond the $1 billion compensation to be paid to Apple for infringing on a number of its patents. The U.S. federal court in San Jose ordered Samsung to pay the huge amount in damages for copying some of Apple’s patents to design its flagship Android devices.

Sure, Samsung will go for appeals against the ruling. The company has warned that the verdict would kill competition in mobile market and consumers would have fewer product options in future. The South Korean tech maker has always counterattacked Apple in legal wars across the world. But, Apple can also take further legal steps to get many significant Samsung products banned in the country. Quite probably, the courts may judge in favor of Apple as it is proven that Samsung has infringed on some patents of the Cupertino tech maker.

The nine-juror panel of the San Jose federal court has agreed on Apple’s argument that Samsung has stolen some of its important patents. As per legal commentators, Apple may get positive verdicts if it goes to the court for ban over particular Samsung products. Some of the firm’s products like Galaxy S2 and Galaxy S3 are mainly accused for copyright infringement. So will there be a ban over Galaxy S2 and Galaxy S3 in future in the U.S.?

“Apple will also do some appealing of its own, and try to obtain various injunctions in the U.S. against the Samsung products found to be infringing at least one of Apple’s patents,†comments Android Authority. “After all, Apple said all along that it’s seeking sales ban verdicts against Samsung rather than compensatory damages.†That is, Apple may also move against Samsung’s products for bans. It will surely be intimidating for Samsung since it has a huge variety of products in the domestic markets on all major carriers.

It is shocking to know that most of Samsung’s high-end smartphones in the U.S infringe on some of Apple’s patents. Apart from the Galaxy S series, a huge part of the company’s Android handsets do violate Apple patents. If there is a ban, the handsets may include Verizon’s Droid Charge, Continuum and Fascinate. AT&T’s Captivate, Galaxy S 2, Skyrocket and Infuse 4G may also come under the shipment ban. Lots of devices on Sprint, T-Mobile and other carriers may also be banned if there is a revengeful action from the side of Apple for injunction.

When it comes to tablets, models like the Galaxy Tab, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE may also come under the ban. The court’s verdict has listed these machines as copying some of Apple’s patents. In fact, Apple has already gained an injunction on Tab 10.1 in the U.S. and it may likely hang on after the new verdict. Apple may also file new suits for injunctions on more products from Samsung.

Is Apple taking revenge from Samsung? Indeed, Samsung’s products have always been nightmarish for the market dominance of Apple. With its highly successful iPhone, Apple could take over a lion’s share of the global smartphone market. The only challenge the device has faced ever is from Samsung’s Android handsets. Samsung and Apple, which take hold of more than 50 percent of the global mobile market share, have been locking horn for prominence for a while.

As per recent estimates, Samsung touts around 32 percent of market share, when Apple has only about 17 percent. Without any doubt, Apple’s continuous legal actions against Samsung may have a pressure of the latter’s drastic popularity among customers. But, beyond that, as the U.S. jury noted, Samsung has done some clear unfairness in copying the patents of Apple in its Galaxy handsets and tablets.
